Ettika

I helped redesign the Ettika brand identity from a youthful tone to a more sophisticated bohemian concept. On my first day, I collaborated with the previous designer to create a new logo and began updating visuals across all touchpoints.

Key Contributions

Graphic, Packaging, Web Design and Photography

HTML/CSS - Illustrator - InDesign - Photoshop - Shopify

Design

Brand Identity

I refreshed the color palette, logo, and overall art direction, helping the brand transition to a more mature identity. The goal was a natural, earthy feel with vibrant accent colors and bold photography.

Design

E-commerce Site

One of my first tasks was aiding in the migrating of the e-commerce site to Shopify. After adding inventory and product photos, I updated the site's visual style with our new branding. I also added features, product images, descriptions, and custom pages to support product initiatives.

Design

Social Media

I worked with the marketing team to design social media content that aligned with current product campaigns.

Design

Displays and Packaging

I helped design and select trade show displays, store setups, and packaging for customers, used in trade shows, showroom demos, and for shipping orders.

Design

Email Marketing

I collaborated with marketing, social, and business teams to create email blasts for product launches and collections, which were coordinated with web pages, press releases, social media, and sales outreach.

Design

Mailers and Cards

I designed postcards, mailers, and custom notes for influencers to support campaigns and business outreach, boosting product releases and encouraging sales.

Design

Product Specifications

I designed product and packaging specs for manufacturing, managing materials and dimensions. Inspired by these projects, I also began designing jewelry for 3D printing on my own, with mixed results.

Internal Tools

DMC Finder

I often needed to reference DMC thread colors, but online resources were hard to navigate. So, I built a simple static website with easily searchable DMC colors, all while commuting through Los Angeles.

Reflection

General Takeaway

I balanced tight deadlines by working in small, efficient systems that synced with fashion and sales cycles, while steadily improving graphic and UI elements. This boosted my organization skills and got me thinking in style variables. I added Liquid templates and SASS to my toolkit, and embraced modular thinking, which became key to my future work.
