Context. Mid-Valley's web presence hadn't been touched in years, and their documentation process was entirely manual. The two problems were related: an outdated site and no real system for the field staff and clients who needed access to safety documentation.
The most critical decisions happen before visual design begins.
Process. Before any screens were drawn, the work was evaluating operational cost, staff involvement, and real-world usability for both internal teams and external clients — then defining a dual-mode visual system, one client-facing, one darker and internal, that could share a foundation without looking identical.
Solution. The client-facing site shipped as a fully responsive, CMS-powered marketing site with service pages, team bios, and educational articles, paired with a client portal giving field staff real-time access to document uploads — replacing the manual process entirely.
Outcome. A working example of the current chapter of practice: brand and build handled together, in the same pass, by the same person — demonstrated in present-day tooling rather than career history.
