Mobii
A card-based redesign of ACTV8me's content-delivery app — rethinking engagement as a structural problem, not a visual one, and shipping a white-label architecture that let the same system power four more partner deployments.

Context. Mobii delivers timely offers to users through geofencing, beacons, and listening mechanisms, pulling content from the ACTV8me CMS across Android, iOS, and SDK integrations inside client apps. Engagement had declined sharply: minimal feed interaction, heavy reliance on a shrinking set of external events, and content production costs the team couldn't sustain.

Process. Research came first — around twenty users, spanning current users, new users, internal staff, and stakeholders — testing three distinct directions: a Contextual Companion built around responsive animation, a modular Hybrid Activity experience, and a Card Stack model built for tactile interaction. Card Stack won.

Engagement is structural, not cosmetic.

Solution. A swipe-based card interaction system, deliberately borrowing the familiarity of dating-app patterns to shortcut the learning curve; a Story Card feature replacing the old filtered feed with dashboard-managed micro-content; a Detection Drawer for persistent content collection; redesigned Daily Scratchers with touch-to-reveal mechanics; and underneath all of it, a white-label architecture built for day-long partner turnaround rather than a new build each time.

Outcome. The redesign held 20,000+ active devices with a peak of 20,651 active installs, and the white-label system it introduced became the platform that later carried AMC Networks, Univision, and Gwen Stefani's tour campaign — each one a deployment of this same architecture, not a rebuild.
