Context. Univision needed a way to connect live broadcast audiences to interactive content and brand offers on their phones, in real time, over a sustained two-year partnership. The work spanned graphic design, interface design, and front-end development — wrapped microsites extending the core app experience so incremental improvements could ship without waiting on native release cycles.
Process. The production system evolved under pressure. It started with an undocumented framework and ad hoc Photoshop templates using embedded Smart Objects, migrated to Sketch with Abstract for non-developer versioning, and eventually moved the front-end itself from Foundation to React — each step chosen to reduce redundancy as the campaign cadence accelerated.
Solution. A custom design system took shape around reusability, responsiveness, and modularity — base styles, essential components, and documentation built specifically so content, design, and marketing teams could work independently against a shared foundation, including reuse across a parallel partner campaign.
Working under pressure taught me how to transform rigid assets and tight timelines into a system bridging creative, development, and business needs.
Outcome. This engagement is one of the clearest examples in this portfolio of design and build decisions being made by the same person, in response to the same constraint, at the same time.
